Fructify was painted in 2022 with acrylic paint on canvas. Fructify means "to make something fruitful or productive".  This painting is about the fruitfulness of life. The image is reminescent of a tree with branches and perhaps fruit or blossoms as well.  It is quite active - I paint listening to jazz classics and there is a lot of musically inspired movement in my painting as a result. In this painting I used a combination of  abstract gestural mark making including pouring paint and then pressing the paint down with paper as well as brushwork. It is unstretched but can be stretched on a wooden stretcher upon request for an additional fee.
