Congflagrant was painted in 2022 with acrylic paint on canvas. Conflagrant means "burning and blazing". When I painted this in early May 2022, my mental state was burning and blazing about the US Supreme Court memo leak about overturning Roe vs Wade. Using my painting processes of painting with a brush, as well as mono printing gestural marks, this painting is full of emotion. It is a passionate painting by a female artist who was (and still is) livid. It is sold unstretched but can be stretched on a wooden stretcher for an additional fee. 25% of the sale price of this painting will be donated to the Center for Reproductive Rights - a global human rights organization of lawyers and advocates who ensure reproductive rights are protected in law as fundamental human rights.
