Villa Borghese (Sunset), was painted in 2018 with acrylic paint on canvas paper. It is framed in a white wooden frame with a 1/2" making the full dimensions 25" x 19".   I painted this upon returning from a trip to Rome in the Fall of 2018. We stayed near the Villa Borghese Gardens and would go for early morning runs and late afternoon walks through the beautiful park. One late afternoon/early evening I saw the most perfect light- a cool blue sky with orange/yellow light hitting part of the Italian Stone Pine (Pinus Pinea) trees as well as the buildings outside the park which resulted in this painting.
