Villa Borghese was painted with acrylic paints on canvas and is stretched on a wooden stretcher.  I painted this upon returning from a trip to Rome in Fall of 2018. We stayed near the Villa Borghese Gardens and went for early morning runs and late afternoon walks in this beautiful and historic park. The Italian Stone pine (Pinus Pinea) trees are iconic to Rome and reach great heights! I found myself looking up at them constantly. I have used a photo of this painting on my laptop as the screen saver since painting it since it is so dramatic!
