Pink Cinerea was painted in 2023 with acrylic paints on canvas. It is part of my Forms of Nature Series and inspired by the shapes of eucalyptus leaves. However, rather than painting an illustration of eucualyptus leaves I created an abstract painting with expressive line and gestural marks loosely based on those shapes. I used to think pink wasn't a powerful color but now I love it and think it is extremely powerful as it symbolizes the strength of all who identify as female. It is framed in a black floating frame with hanging hardware. It is on exhibit at Marciano Law in Hoboken, NJ May 1- June 30, 2023.
