Moments Noticed was painted and constructed in 2022. It was constructed from the papers that I use in my mono printing painting process and then painted over (and over). It has a lot of texture from all the layers of acrylic paint. This collage is the first time I have broken out my work beyond the four sides of the rectangle, experimenting with energy, movement and shapes.
I listen to jazz classics while I work and this painting was inspired by the classic, Moment's Notice by John Coltrane.
