Red Dress, Red Shoes 2 was painted in 2019 with acrylic paint on a 40" x 30" stretched wooden canvas. It is gallery wrapped with white edges. It was painted from a model posing for a couple of weeks at the Art Students League. Her pose, dress and shoes really struck me, I think because I remember sitting in a similar pose, wearing a dress and heels, in many meetings during my professional career at DC Comics! This is part of a series of Seated Figures which continue to inspire me because of all the interesting angles the model's legs and arms create as well as the depth of space created by a seated pose when it is expressed on the two dimensional surface.
